Stephen Hawking is a very strong fight due to his disorder. He learnt a very large project about science and space. He has been in in a lot of shows and also a movie, such as Star Trek , The Big Bang Theory, etc. He has been hit by a very bad disease called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Melody's life is very small compared to his. What suprised me was to his fighting, like his fight to learn about new things in his life and accomplish large things in his life before he passes away. Melody's life is very small but at the same time his age is really big number but Melody's age is really small. But they both have a disorder.

What surprised me is that he can still work and still think of many different ideas even though he has ALS. Another thing that surprised me is that he doesn't let his disability/disease keep him from what he achieved. A question i have about his life is why didn't he study about ALS or hasn't tried to make a cure for the disease. A connection i can make between Melody and Stephen Hawking is that they both don't let their physical body take control of what they are capable of. They let their minds do what there body can't. Another connection I can make is that they both use a speech machine.

What surprised me was that even though he was disabled he could still do what other scientists could do and he still acts like he doesn’t even have the disease the connection between melody and him they both have the same disease and melody and him are smart melody got into the math team and is competing and Stephen is really smart people call him a real scientist Melody’s life is basically the same as Stephen’s when he was in School because the documentary said he was bullied and so was Melody I don’t think that they shouldnt have been bullied because if the kids at Stephen’s school knew he was gonna be a scientist because I think that since melody is very smart she is gonna probably be a scientist when she grows up

They do have a similarity they both have ALS. They both have computers. They are very smart went to championships they can’t do most things by their self. Melody won a gold medal and he got a gold medal from “The President Of The United States” Barack Obama. They achieved what they always wanted. Both never doubted their selves. They are famous. They were interested in Science more than anything. They both wanted to be teachers. They showed the world that just because they are diagnosed with ALS does not mean they can’t do something. They are very similar.

Melody is a lot like Stephen Hawking. They both had disabillities that limited what they could do but even though they couldn't move and had to rely on a machine to do the talking for them but even through all that even if they lost control of their muscles they had great minds and were really smart. I wonder if Melody will do great things like Stephen Hawking and begin to discover many things, maybe Melody will become even smarter than Stephen Hawking. What surprised me was that Stephen Hawking starred in the in cartoons and tv shows like the Simpsons, Star Trek, and The Big Bang Theory. I also wondered if Stephen Hawking had the same trouble as Melody did in school, with friends and other stuff. Was Stephen Hawking in a class like H5 when he was in school?

I'm surprised that he is handy capt i didn't know that he is Stephen hawking is handy capt.how did Stephen become handy capt? how did he type and become one of the smartest person in the world? why did he know these things why?Melody and Stephen are similar because they are both smart but they both are handy capt. And they both have a differences that Stephen want to study gravity and Melody just wants to tell whats on her mind.

Stephen Hawking had ALS, but he still became a scientist, like Melody, he can't move, but he still can think, and succeed. But I still have few questions. How did he got the disease at the first time? His family don't have ALS and it's not very bad before. Why did his family always have dinner in silence? And so, everyone in Stephen’s family is interested in science, but why no one else became a scientist and got awards instead of him? Isn’t all of his family members bright? It said that that both Stephen’s parents graduated from Oxford but why didn’t they become famous scientists?

What really surprised me was how old Stephen Hawking is, and that he is disabled. I had always gotten stephen hawking mixed up with tony hawk. I thought stephen hawking was a young, smart, non-disabled skate border. How does stephen hawking get his electronic talking machine to talk if he cant control any of his muscels ? His life and Melody's are completly different and exactly the same. Stephen and Melody both cannot move their body, yet they are also disabled in different ways. Melody was born disabled, and Stephen Hawking was slowly disabled. Also, Stephen is famous worldwide, and he is old. Melody is young and unemployed

What surprised me the most is that Stephen Hawking is very smart but is disabled. Even though he is quite old and disabled, he is a fascinating scientist. He and his mother both went Oxford University. Another thing that surprised me is that his parents managed to take care of Stephen Hawking when the were not very fortunate and he was born on the World War 2 time period. Also, in his early academic life, he wasn't very exceptional and now his IQ is one of the highest in the world. One connection between Stephen Hawking and Melody is that they both have ALS and are very smart. One thing I wonder if his wife actually loves him or she just married him for the fame and to be known as Stephen Hawking's wife. Also, when he was 21,doctors said he would live only 2 years because his muscles were shutting but he lived about 50 years after.

It was very intriguing that Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with a disease where he lost the feeling in his muscles but could still be efficient as an average human. Stephen Hawking in his life had gone to Oxford university, university of Cambridge and some colleges too. Stephen Hawking was a physicist who was interested in black holes and what were so unique about them. Stephen Hawking's parents were both graduates from Oxford university. Stephens father was a medical doctor who was helping with tropical diseases but could not help Stephen with his disease.

The thing that surprised me was when I saw that Stephen was handy caped. Even though Stephen had ALS he still studied and he still believed in himself and not just think that just because I'm disabled I cant be anything in my life. Some questions that I have are why did he decide to become a scientist and not anything else? One thing also if he didn't go to the university he went to would have he be a scientist today? Why did he choose to go to that university and not any other? Some similarities that Stephen and Melody in common are that they are both disabled, the both cant talk, they both have a computer that talks for them, and they both sit on a wheel chair but only Melody has a electric one.

It surprised me that someone with ALS wanted to learn so much about the universe and how it was created. I wonder if he also has thoughts trapped inside his head like Melody but he can not express them? How did he communicate if they didn't have the technology for computers back then? Does he have photographic memory just like Melody? I can start to see the connection between him and Melody because they both need a computer to communicate with people and they are both very smart.

Unfortunately Melody and Stephen Hawking can't do anything that requires them to move there body. They both have to use a machine in order to communicate with people. On the other hand, some people under estimated what they're capable of. Stephen and Melody both are very intelligent. Stephen has gone to Oxford university which is a very big accomplishment. Melody is one of the smartest students in her school. The surprising fact about Stephen hawking is that he is a really good scientist. He has been a part of T.V. shows called (Simpsons, The Big Bang Theory etc.) I am curious if anyone made fun of Stephen when he was younger. as some people in Melody's class don't really respect her.

Stephan Hawking is just like Melody, also they both are very smart. The thing that surprised me the most is that they both went to school knowing every body probably didn't like them and they were teased. The connections I made between them are that they both used a medi talker, they both were super smart, they both had ALS and they both are in wheel chairs. Would Stephan Hawking still be famous if he didn't have a disability? Did his disability affect any of his loved ones? Does Stephan Hawking mentor people with the same condition that he has?

Stephen Hawking has the same disability as melody. They both can barely move , but they can think. They both think way deeper than other people who don't have any disabilities. Stephen Hawking and melody both inspired me and other people, the proved that even though they are disabled, the can achieve something. Stephen Hawking and melody bothe spent a lot of Time on school work and studying to be something and to be noticed. What surprised me was how Stephen Hawking had so much ability to become what he wanted to become. I really want to know how he got that ability. I noticed that Stephen Hawking also has the kind of computer to speak just like melody. Melody and Stephen Hawking inspired me a lot! I'm not disabled and I don't have the kind of ability to become something. I think people like Stephen Hawking and melody should be known as "normal" people . . . Because they are!!!

The thing that surprises me about Stephen Hawking is that he had a disability but he was one of the smartest people since Einstein. I was also surprise that he taught university kids. How did Stephen Hawking get in a wheelchair. Did Stephen Hawking parents supported him when he was young. Did Stephen Hawking need to get fended like Melody. Melody and Hawking are both disability but they are smart. Melody and Hawking need same kind of machines to talk or to move. I bet in the end of the story Melody is going to be like Stephen Hawking.

I think that Melody and Stephen hawking are the same because they both do not have the ability to talk. They both use a machine to express their thoughts and feelings. Although they both have brains that are twice the size of ours, some people do not realize their potential. Just because some people can not use their body parts does not mean that they can't use there mind. Stephen won an award that most "normal" people couldn't win. I think that Melody will lead her wiz kids team to victory. Stephen and Melody are also the same because they aren't letting their disabilities stop them from doing anything.

What surprised me was that Stephen Hawking wasn’t diagnosed with this disability when he was born (like Melody was) but when he proceeded on with his life. Another thing that surprised me was how Stephen got so much amazing experiences from writing such phenomenal books such as having his book getting so much popularity, having his book as one of the most greatest science books and appearing on TV shows like Big Bang Theory, Simpsons, and Star Trek and many more, this is a bigger amount than an average living person’s experiences. Also surprised me that he still is much respected and not getting teased for his disability which definitely should stay this way because it is very remarkable how he discovered such things about our world that no one would have discovered. My questions that I have about his life are what are the many struggles of writing his books are, did in one point when he was writing and searching for this book that he wanted to stop? Who inspired him to study in science, physics, cosmology and who inspired him to write this book? What caused him to get ALS, did it come naturally or did it come because he did something that caused him to get ALS? Connections I can make between Stephen’s life and Melody’s is that they are both intelligent people with a huge amount of knowledge about the world. They both have a disability in which their muscles are weakened because they both diagnosed with a disorder but, even though they have a limit in what they can do physically it doesn’t mean they have a limit in as much knowledge they can consume. Stephen and Melody both have been through so much, and have been through so much in their lives but of course Melody is younger so she doesn’t have as much as his experiences.

Stephen Hawking inpressed me in many different ways like, for example if I had als I would not be as strong as Stephen or Melody and I would just let my body take over myself bcause not just I would not be able to walk, talk, eat by myself or express my feelings with my family or friends. I do feel bad for Melody but at the same time I feel proud that Melody is trying and not giving up like I would. Stephen and Melod were both smart and never gaveup. I hear about disabled people very often but I have never heard any one that is disbled as strong as Melody or as strong as Sthepen so I feel very proud.

I was surprised that Stephen Hawking was able to become one of the best scientists even though he is disabled and can barely move. Another thing that surprised me was that he starred in shows like the Simpsons, Star Trek, and The Big Bang Theory. Melody and him have a lot in common since they both are very smart and are disabled. Also they both have some kind of machinery that lets them to talk. I wonder if Stephen Hawking has photographic memory just like Melody. Also I wonder if he has trouble with normal tasks like go to the washroom and eating.

Stephen William hawking, a big inspiration to people around the world. Stephan Hawking was very smart and intelligent even though he has a disability. He was lucky to be able to go to the university of Cambridge when he was 17. His luck ran out when he got diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Despite is diagnose, he still had is passion and dream to study cosmology (sky science). Nothing could get in the way for him. All of his hard work had payed off. He got a PHD in black holes! He then showed how to identify them and made an amazing discovery. He then became one of the worlds greatest scientist! He also starred in the Simpsons, Big Bang theory, and Star Trek. It surprised me that Stephan hawking was a great success and he was one off the world greatest scientist even though he was disabled. I find it amazing how he accomplished such a big thing, especially because he had less ability than everyone else. Still, I wonder how his everyday life was like. We're reporters always asking questions? Did he live alone? Did he need somebody to help him with some things? I feel certain that Stephen Melody can relate. They both have a lot of things in common. Both are disabled and have to go through hard things. They both have to sit in a wheel chair and go around sitting in it. Not having the ability and strength to walk is really difficult. Both of them can barely speak and they have to use a machine to talk for them. I'm pretty sure they know how each other feel. Both of them are super intelligent and do (or did) well in school. They both have a lot of things in common even though Stephen is older and was successful, melody (according to the chapter we are in) is still in grade five. I'm happy for Stephen and his successful life, now I'm wondering what advantage melody will have in her life.

A disability can be physical (such as paralysis, loss of limb, deafness), mental (such as depression or posttraumatic stress disorder) or intellectual such as a learning disability. Some are born disabled; others become disabled as a result of an accident or disease. Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis in 1963. ALS is a progressive motor neuron disease, so overtime the victim loses functionality of muscles and over the past decade Stephen Hawking gradually lost the use of most of his muscles, but his mind was quite keen. What really grabbed my attention was the fact that he was given such recognition for his discoveries. I know it may sound weird but after watching the video it kind of got me wondering. I agree that Dr. Hawking’s work in astrophysics has resulted in several breakthroughs in our knowledge of the universe, most notably his work on black holes. His most important discovery so far is that black holes emit X-rays and gamma-rays that can be detected by special scientific instruments. No doubt about it, there was a great scientific discovery. But could him being handicap have drawn many on his side. It just might have seemed amazing to those who are able-bodied that someone could accomplish anything at all with the constraints of his disease. I can’t say all people do, some non-disabled people do not empathize with disabled people and the challenges they face. Some feel uncomfortable being a friend to someone who is perceived differently. People who are not exposed to individuals with disabilities often do not realize that a disabled person, despite his or her disability, is just like a non-disabled person. Everyone should ask themselves, what similarities and differences do I have with people who have disabilities? To what extent do people think individuals with disabilities are different? Nobody should be assaulted for something they have no control over. That is just my perspective on the prevention of disability discrimination, not the worlds. Maybe him being a victim of ALS is why he was underestimated and then when he had put up a fight and beat the odds the world was astonished. What really fascinates me is whether his disability or his scientific discovery was what got his name out there. Can’t someone sitting on a wheelchair be just as intelligent as someone who is able-bodied? Remember he might have been diagnosed with ALS, but we cannot ignore the fact that his brain still worked. Many times what happens is that parents with children with disabilities do not respect their child’s difference, is that what had happened to Stephen Hawking? As well, during the period he had made his scientific discovery, did his disability have any impact on how the discovery proceeded? When the discovery was in process and he was trying to figure out how it all came together, did he run in to any ups and downs? If so, what are a few of them? If Stephen Hawking could have lived a few more years what have he done? I decided to ask this specific question because usually what happens is there is always a starting point of inspiration that always starts something new. For example, Johann Olav Koss, a four time Olympic gold medalist and social entrepreneur, founded Right To Play in 2000. Right To Play evolved out of an Olympic Aid, a fundraising organization that raised millions of dollars to help disadvantaged youth. When the question turns to Melody we already know that Stephen Hawking is one of her heroes. As well, they both are physically challenged. Melody was unable to speak or talk from birth and Stephen Hawking had lost functionality of muscles. Both Melody and Mr. Hawking had a computer to communicate. As mentioned, Melody has never been able to speak from birth, but Stephen Hawking had been diagnosed at a later age. Stephen Hawking was given the chance to go to university and he has been recognized for his achievements. When the table turns to Melody she has earned her way into a spelling bee and the question remains unanswered so far, will Melody able to get herself and the other kids facing disabilities in H5 an identity to be known by?

A person that has a disability today may have a super-ability tomorrow. Meaning Melody is being chased by a disability today and who knows maybe tomorrow that will turn into a super-ability. And look at Stephen Hawking he had a disability, he was diagnosed with ALS in 1963 and despite the odds he made a scientific discovery that amazed the world.

What surprised me was that Stephen Hawking has ALS. Another thing that surprise me was that Stephen Hawking received a medal from Barack Obama the president of The United States. Also Stephen Hawking was called one of the greatest scientist in the world! The question I am asking myself is... "How did Stephen Hawking get ALS?" Stephen Hawking and Melody are very similar. The similarities I see in Melody and Stephen Hawking is that they both are smart people, they both cannot be able to talk, both cannot move and they both have disabilities. The differences I see between them is that Stephen Hawking is famous and Melody is not. Also another difference I see is that Stephen Hawking is older than Melody. Also I cannot believe that Stephen Hawking starred at The Simpsons, Star Trek and The Big Bang Theory. But I can tell that both Melody and Stephen Hawking are very smart even though they have disabilities. That is what I think of Melody and Stephen Hawking.

The thing that surprised me was that he went through so much and still didn't give up.How did he get the disease in the first place? What type of symptoms did he notice? Why did he like learning about science? He is similar to Melody. They both are very smart. They both have disablilties. They both have a computer. They are both alike but they might have some stuff that different. Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
