What is the cave you fear to enter? What challenge is looming in front of you? How will this journey change you? Describe another challenge you have been through in your life that changed you in a significant way.
The biggest cave i am afraid to enter is high school. All of those responsibilities and homework just makes me shudder. i mean, I dont want to get more homework, or get teased because im smart, or dont do sports(although i will). And im definatley not ready for Mr, Shields, the gym teacher. My basketball coaches, who go to the fleetwood high school, say that On the first day of high school, he scares the life out of the grade eights just for fun, and makes u play dogde ball against the grade TWELVES. And trust me, i am NOT ready for that. But the thing that scares me the most in the cave i call high school will be the showers. i AM DEFINATELY not going to take a shower in the same room as other boys. Another thing that scares me is that i might not be in any classes with any of my friends. That would suck.

My cave that I fear to enter is High school it’s just next year and there’s so many older kids grade 7 is hard but going through grade 8 will be harder than this year because it’s a bigger grade I also know that I probably would be offered drugs and I don’t know how I would react to that or how to say no which will be a little scary for me and what if I get bullied I would get scared then because people go suicide and I don’t want to get pressured and kill myself don’t want to die that’s what I’m most scared about getting bullied and to commit suicide. But the “challenge” I have been through was when my uncle died and my cousins grandma died I felt so sad I actually fainted so that was scary I didn’t remember anything that happened a couple minutes before that so I also got scared of that.

My cave I fear to enter is high school. I'm wondering if I fit in with the other kids how are in that school. Sometimes I think what if the P.E changed. I love to play doge ball (hate running). Would math and L.A get really hard and would the teacher even help you if you need in L.A. I'm bad at L.A plus I hate it. Would there be bully. If there are bully would he punch me? Would my friends go to the some high school as me? Can I make new friend or not. Will every think I'm a mean kid. i have to go to high school. If I don't I would not know how it will be in high school. I'm excited to go to high school but I'm scared at the sometime.

In my life, there’s few caves I fear to enter and few really hard challenges. right now, I’m facing giong to highschool, there’s many challenges in highschool. First, there’s bullies, then, people forms gangs, then, I have to remember the place pf the many classrooms and the combination lock code, and lastly, there’s drug dealers. After that, what will change me is that because we learns many useful stuff, I will become more independent and be more suitable in the world and possibly have a very good career. Before I had many things that I’m afraid of, for example, I have taken many shots before, after each shot, I became a little bit not so afraid, and after the uncountable shots, I became a lot more brave. This another example. When I was little, I was usually afraid of dark, and at night when my mom left the room really early, I can’t sleep and this challenge is a lot harder to face, but still after a long time, I’m not afraid of dark anymore.

High school is the cave I fear because high school is a very dark place. High school will change everybody. Another challenge will be making sports team. If would try out for any team, you would be up against people who try very hard may be playing the sport as an after school activity. . You may become kind as a saint or bad person who gets into fights and swears. Surviving will be a challenge for everyone because bullies and other people can ruin me. My cousin once told me that I to make a lot of friends or high school would be a living nightmare for you. One challenge that I have been through is my first swimming lesson when I was one and half years old. It was one of those toddlers and parents lessons. I was very scared because I never swan before. My dad was with me during the lessons. I changed me because of those lessons, I could be such an awesome like I am now.

The cave I fear to enter this year is getting better grads than last year. I chose this cave because I wasn't always the perfect guy and I wasn't always the guy who got good grades. So this year I will try to get better grades and improve in subjects and hopefully get As and Bs this year. I'm also scared of taking tests because I would study and I do get all the info in my head but when the teacher gives me the test and I go through it I just get worried and all the info goes out of my brain and I cant think. This journey will change me because now I will not try to get worried when I get the test. Another cave I was scared of was dogs. I don't know why I used to be scared of dogs. I was even scared of little puppies and 2 years ago when I went to India I would never get out of my dad's house because there were soo many dogs on the street. But it all changed when my cousin bought a dog. I would never go to my cousins house because I was scared of dogs. Then my cousin one day took me to his dog and made me pet it. First I was scared but then I got used to it and then my cousins dog got used to me. So since that day I was never scared of dogs.

The cave that I fear to enter is the basketball try outs, both now in school and also in high school. Although most people would disagree with me, there are a lot of other people that I know that are much more taller, faster, and skilled than me. And even worse, most of them are going to fleetwood park secondary with me! Basketball is the only sport that I excel at. If I don't make the team in grade 8, then my dream of playing in the NBA will be ruined! In the past, the cave that I entered was when I was 9 years old. I had joined my first basketball team because my mom thought all other sports were expensive but basketball was a cheep sport. I thought basketball was an okay sport, but that was because I didn't know how to play. So when my first game rolled around, I got scared. I thought that instead of leading my team to victory, I was going to lead them to our first loss. But I faced my fear and we actually won! I even got a few points in myself.

Also, my mom told me that I was tall, so that would help me play the game. She didn't really say any thing about the game being cheep. I was lying about that part.

The cave I fear is going to secondary school. The reason is because of all the homework assignments, Dodge ball, the people and, Classes. Homework is because I have so many classes and all classes have different teachers. So much homework from each class and then you have to keep them because. Someone told you have to keep all your work because they will test you on your entire things you were learning on a specific subject. Dodge ball is Just scary because they test you and the balls are rubber I heard someone got there nose broken I’ll be a freshmen to dodge ball also it will be hard to throw the ball. The people are scary because there is gangs in the school, I was walking home then a group of guys came up to me and asked me if I had something not appropriate for my age then they ran away I was scared to the point where I could run for hours. Classes Is hard, tough, and scary because I don’t know if I could get there on time.
The second fear is report cards what will I get how many marks will be good this year I want to try my best do well. But what if I try my hardest and don’t get good marks? Who Knows?

A cave that i dare to enter would probably be having to go to high school. The scary part of high school to me would probably having to keep up with the homework. What i heard from my friends and brother is that in high school you will get hours of homework. Another thing in high school that i think I'm going to fear is being picked on because i am smart and play video games all day. Which means I'm an example of a geek. The journey will change me by making me more mature from the homework and the busy schedule of being a high school student. . Another challenge in life that I will face is probably having to overcome the death of my grandma. The challenging part of that experience probably having to understand why people have to go and how to get over a death. This journey will probably change me because then i will understand death more and know how to it feels to have someone in your family die.

My cave I fear to enter is grade 8. The homework becomes more and the schedule is changed and the more things change the more you stress out. I have to become more positive and find friends, have good friendships and people I can trust. Part of going in high school is being strong and never give up with yourself and keep trying until your reach your finish line. Going into high school is starting a new adventure. High school can be very challenging to others and others are okay with it. My cave is about accomplishing through high school and starting a new level of life. This cave will let me conquer my fears and start a new chapter and make me learn how to take care of myself and also be on my own. In my opinion high school is not easy and you can be stressed out most of the time.

The cave that I fear to enter this year is going to camp. It will be the first time I can remember that I was away from both my home and without my family for more than a day and I don’t feel like I’m ready to go yet. I think it would be weird and uncomfortable at camp because I was always used to sleeping in my own bed, in my own room, and in my own house. It would feel different because all my friends and classmates would be there also and I would be doing things different to what I would be doing if I was in home. Like some of the Grade 7s last year I think it would change me by making me less shy and more willing to talk to people. I would talk more and work better with all sorts of other people. One cave I once feared to enter was on my first day of school in kindergarten when I didn’t know anybody.

the cave I fear to enter is slender's cave. Slender is looming in front of me. Its scary to see slender I feel like I;m being watched and I feel I see visions of slender and when my big bro scares me with his app of slender. It will change me because I can scare my little bro and friends with slender and I can watch slender too.And it would be good to use slender for Halloween it wold be awesome. My challenge that i completed is zombie movies and vampire movies it is awesome to be not scared of those movies. I got over this challenge by playing Black Ops 2 and Zombie games. By playing these it helped me to not be scared of Zombie movies. I got over my fear of Vampire movies by watching Abraham Lincoln versus the Vampires movie and saw that it wasn't that scary.

The cave I fear to enter is High School, because there are many challenges I have to face. For example, making new friends, having a new schedule, having different teachers, and getting to class on time. This journey will change me by forcing me to be more organized, going to class on time, and trying my best to get on the A honor roll. A challenge that I have already faced was the first time going on an airplane. I had to go through the security check. The airport security told me to take my shoes off and then they did a swab on my fingers. Then after that, we walked on the ramp and on to the plane. Then we found our seats and waited for the plane to take off. It made a lot of noise, but I still faced my fears. It really wasn't that bad! When we finally landed, I was not that nervous. I had a lot of fun and want to fly again soon.

The cave that I fear to enter is going to high school, because all my friends in high school make it sound like the scarcest place on earth. I don't have my older brother to assist me in high school. I am also scared because people would convince me to try smoking or taking drugs and I won't know how to reply or say.

The cave I fear to enter is highschool because we would be the babies in the school. My sister once told me that when she was in grade 12 the other grade 12r's would make fun of the grade 8's. Also I've been told from a grade 8 this year that you will get tons of homework and some of them are homework that they didn't learn yet. Also when your in highschool you can bump into a drug dealer there and they might not tell or show the drugs they have and tell you if you want to be friends with him/her, and they can influence you to do one. This happend to a person I knew and when she did it her grades got lower and it changed her life. A cave I feared that I entered was the time I went to Disneyworld and went to one of it's waterparks called "Typhoon Lagoon." In Typhoon Lagoon they had this area where you could swim with fishes, sharks and sting rays. So my sister and I went in there and had to listen/watch a person giving rules when swimming with the fishes, sharks and sting rays. So I was given scuba gear then I jumped in the water which was very cold. Then I tried to swim fast so I wouldn't get eaten by any of the fishes or sharks. My sister went ahead of me so I tried to catch up with her but she swam more faster then I did. But I then realized that swimming with them was fun. But when I reached the end there was a sting ray that swam infont of me which was very weird and a little scary. So now you know that highschool is my cave.

Hero’s in books and movies such as Katniss Everdeen and Harry Potter all have something in common; they have gone to battle their greatest fears. First, they are called to adventure like when Harry Potter got his letter to be admitted to Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardry. Second, they have assistance such as Dumbledore and Dumbledore’s Army to battle their biggest fear who is Voldemort (aka “The one who should not be named”). Third, departure, Harry goes to finish his quest from Dumbledore to continuously conquer Voldemort for the past 7 movies. Fourth, trials, he went through obstacles to battle Voldemort and Voldemorts Army by getting the Philosopher’s Stone, going to the Chamber of Secrets, the Prison of Azkaban, taking the Goblet of Fire, the Order of Phoenix, finding out he is Half of Voldemort and that he has to find seven horcruxes in the Half Blood Prince. Fifth, approach to Voldemort and Voldemorts Army in the Deathly Hallows in a war at Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardry where he battles for the last horcruxes to kill Voldemort with Dumbledore’s Army (not Dumbledore because *spoiler alert!* he died in the last book). Sixth, crisis when Voldemort supposedly “killed” Harry everyone has to join his army but gets back up because of Neville destroying the last horcrux. Seventh, treasure, he kills Voldemort whom is his biggest fear during their battle. Eighth, result, all the Death Eaters are defeated and some bow down to Harry Potter. Ninth, return, Harry returns to his old life and Hogwarts is at peace, eleventh is becoming a hero, and twelfth is resolution and Harry finds out that Snape wasn’t part of Voldemorts team, Dumbledore only had a year left to live. My cave that I fear to enter is my winter recital performance; it’s going to be the first time in my life that I will have to perform on my piano to a big crowd. It is a fear because I am afraid to mess up my performance. What if I hands slip against the keyboard? I have this pressure because I love music and I also don’t want to mess up because my older sister used to be a great piano player, so I have to be good at playing the piano too! What I will gain if I succeed is more confidence and experience in playing the piano and will have the encouragement to carry on being a piano player. Other experiences on when I used the 12 steps to a hero’s journey which is call to adventure, assistance, departure, trials, approach, crisis, treasure, result, return, new life, and resolution. I used these 12 steps when I tried out for the badminton team in grade 5; I never tried out for a sports team before therefore I was really nervous to try out. Call to adventure: I heard about the badminton team from the morning announcements, accept the challenge: practiced really hard with my family and friends, approach, conquer your fear: went to try outs and practices for the teacher to chose who to put on the team, claim the treasure: I saw the list and saw that my hard work and hoping to get in resulted to me getting on the team! This changed my life in a significant way by giving my confidence and has trained me to become a better badminton player. The book by Joseph Campbell called “A Hero with a Thousand Faces” taught us that we all have conquered our fears and even though it doesn’t include slaying a monster, we all are still heroes. What is your cave that you fear to enter?

I fear of many things, but the biggest fear I have is death. Since all of a sudden you stop breathing. You end up in a totally different place you have never seen before. The reason why I am afraid of death is because when you go to the other world all the results of the good and bad thing you did get clarified. The people that you live with and have seen everyday have gone very far from you. I also fear of seeing the person who created me and as a gift he gave me a chance to live in this world. It is very frightening to see the creator of the entire universe. The most powerful person you could see would be right in front of you. Or maybe questioning all the deeds you did. That's why I believe death is very painful and frightening.

Everybody has different fears, and that's okay. Even just thinking that someday you will have to face and overcome that fear, that is a small fear too. It is like a scary cave, you one day will have to enter. For me, my cave that I fear is enter highschool. That is my biggest fear right now, always has been (since kindergarten), and always will be (until the beginning of grade 8). I have a lot of older cousins that have been through highschool, and they tell me all about it. From what I hear, it's terrible. I was just a little bit scared, but I think my cousins have made it worse. I personally think I get enough homework now, I don't want to get anymore in high school. I do all of my homework though, but I don't enjoy it sometimes. My parents expect me to get good marks, which I want too, but if I get lots of homework and try my very, very best on it, it's just too much for me. I can't take too much responsibilities, I'm not THAT responsible (not saying that I'm not). Another reason I fear high school is because of the people. I hear that there are some repulsive people there. I'm not trying to judge, but that's what I heard. Speaking of judging, I've been told that people sometimes judge. Im against judging because it's not fair to judge someone just because they are being themselves. I don't want to be judged or teased just because I'm being myself and I'm different than them. It doesn't matter if I'm taller or shorter, smart or anything like that. And defiantly don't want to see smoking or anything like that. I'm also worried that I won't have any real friends because of the different classes. And even considering that the teacher won't review anything if you missed a class, I just think that's not fair. I like staying in one class and only going to French for a different class. It would be hard for me to switch classes a bunch of times everyday. What if I left my favourite pencil in the last class? I can't even think about that! I am going to try out for most if the sports teams, but what's if I don't get in? It will change me by making be a more responsible, smarter student. It will get me ready for my adulthood or older life. Last year was my first Bhangra performance and I was terrified. I could have messed up and done a wrong move, but gladly I didn't mess up at all. There was a hard move that I was sure I was going to mess up, but I made it through and did it perfectly. It was even more scarier considering we would be judged. At the end, I didn't win, but I was proud that I made it through. I have yet another Bhangra performance coming up and I am scared because there is an even harder move, and at practice I always mess up. Those were most of the reasons why I am afraid of high school. Who knows, maybe high school will change me in a way I never thought of. Maybe I will like it, maybe not. I am just glad that I have ms.camps to help me get prepared for high school.

The cave I fear to enter is the dark. I cannot even stay in a dark room alone. I get so scared and I always think something scary will pop out. I even put a night light on and if my night light doesn’t work I turn the light on and then I go to sleep. This journey will change me because I know that I can’t live a life with just light. There might not be any light in the future or there might be a black out. Then what will I do? There was a cave that I had entered in the past. It was when I was around 7 or 8 years old. My cousin had taught me how to drive a two wheeler bike. I was so scared! I thought that when I sit down on the seat, I would just fall off. I fell a few times but my cousin did not give up on me. Then I did it! I rode my bike down and up the ally. I was so proud of my self. I had faced one of my biggest fears and now I can drive perfectly fine.

Going to high school can be exciting for some but for me it’s a scary thought, particularly because I’ve spent almost all my school life in one school. You know the school, you’ve been through all the grades with most of the same people and almost all the teachers know you. And of course in the last year you are one of the ‘big kids’ and have had a lot more responsibility, taking on leadership roles for younger students. But soon you will be going to high school where you will be a ‘little kid’ again, you will need to make new friends, work with new teachers who don’t know you, find a way around the new place, and face challenges that will surely knock you down. High school is just one of the caves I fear to enter. I might be in a class with none of my friends. Harassment by other kids. Being offered drugs. The work will be too hard. Getting lost and going to the wrong room. Getting beaten up. These are just the beginning of my worries. I hear rumors of this dreadful place. You get heaps of homework. The bigger kids flush your head down the toilet to initiate you. I’ve heard that some older kids pick on the younger kids. There will also be people who take drugs. I know that from the beginning of freshman year to graduation day I will change. Most mature and put those childish things behind us, getting ready for the real world. A lot of students will have physically changed and now look like a completely different person. Emotionally or mentally, we will all change, depending on how life went during this time frame. In the first year I think I will change the most, because then, we really understand what it is really about to be a teen and what high school is going to be about. In my opinion, I believe that some people let high school change them for the better, or sometimes the worst. In some way, it comes clear that high school changes all of us. In the course of these five years we all go through different things, and our experiences have an effect on our behavior and thoughts. During high school we have opportunities to try new things with our friends. I think that changing is just a part of high school, whether it is our physical image, or the ways we view life.
I stand there center stage, I have that queasy feeling in my stomach that just won’t go away. I just want to cancel so I don’t have to deal with the stress. My hands get sweaty as I wait for my signal to start. I feel like I want to run away. I fear that I will forget what to say. I have a strange feeling inside of me that my mind will go blank, and I will stumble and mumble and totally screw up the whole thing. And then suddenly, the signal is given. I see so many eyes staring straight at me. I had the script memorized; it was just the nerves that were getting to me. I say the first line. My heart is racing and my body trembling. After a while I get into the zone and gracefully take center stage and enjoy the attention. But I can’t describe the feeling in words; I was saying what I was supposed to say as written in the script, but it just seemed wrong after a while. I can’t explain it, my cheeks where turning red and becoming hotter by the minute. In the end I managed to land a spot in the top three and claimed victory. I venture the opportunity to do some public speaking, but when given the opportunity it gets the best of me. Being able to have come through this obstacle has impacted me greatly. I find that this helps improve my oral communication skills as well as boost my self-esteem. This opportunity has truly done so much for me. It has helped me become more comfortable communicating in general and being able to stand in front of a large crowd of people and tell them what I want to say.

My cave that I'm afraid to go into is high school because of the challenges, independence, and the puberty. My challenge is making it safely through high school without any trouble but I heard from some grade 8 and 9 that you get picked on for things like noob, stupid, ugly, and other things that they point out about you. High school is a very tough school to go through on where you should go, who you should be friends with, and trying to focus in school or at lea for one topic. Independence is very tough because sometimes you get to much homework that you could fail and your whole future could come tumbling down.
I hate it because when I think or do one thing, I think of another thing and another and another and it keeps going on forever. School could be tough whether the way you look, act, or what you do.puberty is also a terrifying experience because once you change from kid to puberty teenager, you can never be yourself ever again because of zits, your voice whether it's low or high and some things you can never do ever again like singing if your a boy and you can never singing and could be intentionally laughed at the boys in the higher levels whether they say " you're stupid" or "you're fat" and could be teased for " hahaha, you're stupid, you can't be at my level you little $&@#%" and so on.
I had a challenge once where I spoken in front of the whole school for speech fest but I had to get over it and luckily, I got second place and this other time I had to perform for a school play and I had stage fright and when I had to go and perform, my friends, parents, and teachers, and applauded. I got so happy but I vowed to never go through that cave ever again until this year where I have to play as Joseph, father of Jesus Christ. These were my past experiences and I hope I can go through safely though the new caves that I must enter.

The cave I fear to enter is high school. I feel that going to high school is going to be a big change and much harder than elementary school. There will be different people, schoolwork, and other things to worry about. Also I hope I can make at least one sports team even though there will be many people trying out. In high school I heard there are many bullies and people who try to make you into a bad person I think it will be hard to stay away from that too. I hope this journey will change me to become a better person and figure out what I want to do with my life. A cave I have already is entered is going swimming. When I was five I was at a friends pool party and started to drown. After that I was scared to go into pools for a long time. Finally when I was six I entered another pool even though I was scared. This made me see that it was I could face my fears.

The cave I fear to enter is high school. It's a challenge for me because I'm going to be one of the new sctudents and I need to try to fit in. There will be a lot of new grade 8's there. At high school I want to be a noticed person just like my older brother. This journey will change me by making me try to become a noticed person in high school. Another challenge I have been through in my life is when my grandmother passed away. It was just last year so I team ember seeing her in the hostpital. I even went to the funeral which was my first time being in one and having an experience of someone close to me passing away. This changed me because my grandmother was gone and I couldn't talk to her anymore. I started to hate the month she died which was November. Both the high school challenge and my grandmother passing away challenge are not the same, but they are my challenges.

The cave that I fear to enter is the soccer try outs for high school. They will only choose the best players and there will be new people from different schools who are probably way better than I am. I think I have a pretty good chance though depending on how many players are able to make the team, but a very slim chance because there are many soccer players in this school and maybe the others that will be going to Fleetwood Park. I also worry about if I'm good enough to play with the others because I'm not in a soccer team, but if I fail there is always basketball.
